This is a music video by Meghan Tranior. At this time Trainor was a 21 year old signer presenting the world about the roles and responsibilities of women in the household. She sings mainly about housewife duties such as cleaning and cooking. She also shows and talks about in the video how men should treat women such as giving them gifts and flowers. This video can be seen as her taking it back to the '50s or being traditional but not in a good way. Tranior creates an old-fashioned picture on what a relationship should be.

Throughout the video, Trainor can be seen as very demanding and taking control. She talks about her expectations and demands for her future husband : "take me on dates", "and don't forget the flowers every anniversary", "you gotta know how to treat me like a lady". Considering all of this, she says she will be "the perfect wife". From this we can clearly see that Trainor represents a wrong image of how a husband and wife should be acting in a household. she also creates an image that the roles are not equal

Throughout the video, she refers herself to "the perfect wife, Trainor does not meet the requirements and responsibilities of a perfect wife. in the video she mentions how she "never learned how to cook",  "so don't be thinking ill be home baking apple pies". from this we can see that Trainor expects a lot from her husband e.g. presents and flowers but her husband should not expect anything from her. However, some parts in the video can tell that her husband receives sexual favours for what he provides. "any maybe then ill let you try and rock my body right", "ill be sleeping on the left side on the bed, open my doors for me and you might get some kisses". when she says "some kisses" there is a small pause between the words. this suggests that their relationship could be based on "gifts and sexual activity". some people may think that the word "kisses" covered up another word to keep the video childly friendly.

while Trainor presents her way of a good relationship, she comes of the topic of traditionality. she creates a modern relationship. her cheeky acting and gestures does not come across a traditional relationship.
