Stereotypic (Negative) Newspaper Analysis

In the media, black people usually seen to show off the negative stereotype such as always being violence, committing murder, attempt robbery and more. Although in some case this is true, but not every black person does these things. This newspaper was published a few years ago. This story is about a man named Durham, 33, who confessed about his murder while waiting a bucket of KFC. Straight from the newspaper, we can see two stereotypes of black people, murder and loving chicken. This would be seen as a negative stereotype as all black people do not like chicken or do not commit murder.
The hypodermic needle theory is a theory used by newspapers and and TV. It is when a message is injected in our head negatively, making us have a negative view on people or things. This paper is a good example. The headline of the newspaper is worded differently to the actual story that took place. "I Could Murder A Bucket Of KFC". Clearly he did not murder a bucket of KFC, but the editors worded it this way to make us seem like he did or he is just in love with KFC, making the public seeing black people negatively.
