In the music video there are various close ups, extreme close ups, medium, long and establish shots.
The first shot in the video is a long shot. the shows Beyonce standing on top of a police car. This can show or represent multiple things. This could suggest that Beyonce thinks she has better than the police and that she doesn't care about police in general. the second meaning could be about police brutality. Police brutality is a from of police misconduct which involves police using violence on innocent people. throughout the video, you will notice that the police car will keep sinking till the end of the video. This may suggest to stop police brutality or Beyonce simple say "Fuck The Police"
In the sections of the video (0:30 - 0:37) , (2:16, 2:23) , there are some close ups and long shots. We can see that Beyonce and a group of girls are wearing all white. From this, this could symbolise purity, rich and wealth and that it can show women empowerment.

Another long shot in the video is at the minutes (1:10 - 1:13), (1:43 - 1:45). we can see tat in this scene, it shows Beyonce wearing all black, wearing jewellery and standing in the middle of all the men. Normally in events, men are the ones wearing suits and women wear dresses so this could suggest that Beyonce is manly. furthermore, the fact that she is standing in front of the men shows that she is a leader. could also show that she is suggest empowerment over men.

Throughout the video, there are medium and long shots of what looks to be girls dancing in formation. from this, it can suggest that women power and that women need to work together and be in a formation.

At the end of the video, there is a very important scene about police brutality. the near end of the video, it shows a young kid dancing in front of armed police officers. In my opinion, this shows that the stereotype for black people are wrong and that black people are talented and not all black people are criminals. furthermore, as the kid put his hands up, the police does, showing a message on the wall "Stop shooting us". police brutality is a big problem in America usually for black people. because the power and weapons the police have, they think its ok to take black lives without causing harm. also, i think its very different that they used a little kid. it could show the frustration that he has because of police brutality.
