The reason why this is shocking is because many smokers know that smoking causes damage to their heart and lungs. However, they don't see how it rots their body from the inside. NHS is showing what smoking actually does to you from the inside and that it can damage your body. Overall, the point of the ad is to try to stop people from smoking as it is rotting their body.
The Dasani advert shows the physiological need of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The strategy of the advert is to show that water is very important and we can live without it. This advert fits the physiological need because water is something that everyone needs and thirst is something that everyone will always have

Domesticated Females - Mother usually the housewife looking after her children
Child Gender Roles - Boys are seen as tough, rough and aggressive. Girls are gentle and feminine.
